Evidence base
Adherence therapy has been extensively evaluated. The therapy is based on a model of adherence developed by the QUATRO team that has extensive evaluated.
Adherence therapy has been subject to rigorous evaluation within the context of a multi-centre European randomised controlled trial.
There have also been a number of other clinical trials, undertaken by members of the QUATRO research that have been integral to the development of adherence therapy. These include studies of compliance therapy and medication management.
The group have also undertaken a programme of research that aims to inform our understanding of the complexities of treatment adherence.
